knock sensor and coolant sensor

please helpme!!!!!grrrrlol.Can some body please tell me what color wire goes to the knock sensor,I know the manual states dark blue but mine has a yellow wire going to it.And then there is a solid black wire going to coolant sensor above the knock sensor which mine is black.I think these maybe mixed up.I bought this car like this with alot of driveability concerns.88 gta 5.7 btw.Thank you in advance

You can ohm the esc to knock to determine the color. Or ground either and see if the fan comes on. If it does by grounding that’s for the head switch.

Turn the key on. Ground the center pin of each connector, while disconnected from anything else.

Whichever one turns the fan on, is the fan wire. (duh) The other may or may not be the KS wire but at least you have a beginning.
