In my 87 Firebird Formula 350, the passenger side power window goes down but not up. Tried replacing the window motor with a new one but I have the same issue. I tested it detached from the window.
I read on here that there's one circuit for both windows, so if either works then there's no fuse issue to look for. True?
What should be my next step?
Because the window goes down, could there still be a broken wire issue to look for where the wire goes from body to door?
I'm a novice car fix it guy

I would first examine the switch and the wiring to it for an issue
Will do. Do you agree it's not a fuse because the window will go down?
Yep, most likely cause as described
It was the switch. Unrelated I think, but the plastic on it basically crumbled as I took it out. The Nevada heat eats the plastic's integrity.
At least new ones are easy to find. Google is your friend
