How to hard wire a fan

Here's a really basic diagram, you can use a mini toggle switch to apply the ground instead of the ECM if you'd like.
Find the wire coming out of the thermo-switch on the engine. That is a ground wire that activates the fan when the switch closes. Run a wire from the wire to a switch in the dash and ground the switch to the body. Now when you turn on the switch the fan will come on. It will also operate normally with the switch in the off position. Bingo....you now control a fan. Good Luck!!
