I need some help with my 1984 Trans Am head light motors. The headlight switch will turn the lights on but not the motors. I’ve been using this diagram. If I hit the red/white wire on the isolation relay, both headlights come up. If I hit what I believe is the white wire on the isolation relay, the driver side headlight goes down but not the passenger side headlight. If I hit the pink wire on the passenger side relay, the driver side headlight goes up. putting 12v on the red, green, or gray wires on the passenger side relay does not do anything. I didn’t try to put 12v to the black wire because that’s ground. Does anyone know why I can get both to go up but only one to come down?
Thanks I appreciate that!
I’m thinking there’s an issue with the passenger side specifically. Do you know what wires on the passenger side do what specifically? That’ll help me determine what’s not working.
I have a similar issue with my headlights on my 1986 TA. I recently replaced the isolation and motor relays, and everything worked fine once I did that. But at some point my headlight switch started acting up to where I'd have to wait for the switch's bite point that allowed the headlights to go up, then stick the switch on (I've attached a video of the problem, but after I installed the new headlight switch). I initially thought the original headlight switch just finally crapped out and died, so I ordered a new one and installed it, but I'm having the same problem.
