Cruise Control Not Working Right

Hey guys, my cruise control isn't working right. I drove it a few months ago, and it worked, but it took a second for it to work again once it disengaged. I drove it again recently and it was being funky. It only worked twice, once at like 35mph, and again later at highway speeds. I tried screwing with it at different speeds and tried the switch in several ways. When it worked before, I had to hold the button in for half a second, now that doesn't even work. Anyone have any wisdom to share? Anything would be great! Thanks

Re: Cruise Control Not Working Right

One time on my '85, the little upside-down plastic button that the that the clutch pedal presses when the pedal is all the way up got pressed too far back in its housing and my cruise control wouldn't stay on unless I put my foot under the clutch pedal and held up on it. Readjusting that permissive button fixed it up.
