Who does headlight module repair?

Hi there,
I have a 1991 Firebird Formula that I put 2 new headlight motors in, and they work up and down once or twice, but then the module does not work after that.
Is there anyone who repairs the modules? I have tried the Corvette module but it did not work either. I would rather just get my original working again.

I think, or so I've been told, so I'm not 100% on this, that the module for 87-89 or 90, is slightly different than the module for 90 or 91-92, but I'm not sure when/if the change was made. But if that's true, then they're not interchangeable, so you might've gotten an earlier module.

TGO Convertible forum moderator, lonsal, used to rebuild them, but I don't know if he does anymore. I've made such a referral before, and he hasn't reached out to me yet to say, "stop doing that" lol. So if you contact him, and he says no, then tell him I apologize, and I won't do it anymore lol.

Re: Who does headlight module repair?

Here is a repost of an answer I gave in a previous thread regarding the differences in the modules, in this case the guy wanted to use a later model module in an earlier model car, but this serves well to explain the differences;

Looking at the 1988 and 1991 headlight wiring diagrams, you'll notice the only two differences are that the 1988 has a white wire that needs to see +12v when the lights are off, whereas the 1991 uses a brown wire that needs to see +12v when the lights are switched on. Since your trying to use the later module in the earlier car you'd need to satisfy the brown wire circuit. The second difference of note is that if you look closely at the motor's wiring, the wires are opposite and you would need to repin the connectors such that the correct motor wire colors go to the correct module terminals as indicated on the 1991 diagram. Take care of those two items and you'll have a working 1991 module in your 1988 car......

Copy that.

Hawk's lists used ones in both designs: 1987-1989 and 1990+. Prices seem reasonable.
