quick elec. speedo question

quick elec. speedo question

my speedo it completely gone. i've already replaced the speed sensor so now im going to look at the speedo head. what exactly do i look for and what all do i have to take off to get to it?

You might want to check your speed buffer first... it's the little yellow box mounted up near your ECM. If that is fried, your speedo won't work. IIRC, they should be pretty cheap, around $30-$40... Good luck

how do i test the bufer to see if its fried?

Either invest in a new one at the dealer or go get one from a donor car, they are pretty common, but I know of no bench test for them. Good luck
