Having trouble with the coolant gauge. Upon hitting ignition key, the gauge will move beyond the top end and physically get struck. One has to flick the gauge and drops back to cold but works perfectly normal when car is running ( shows the correct temperature for the motor). Each time starting the engine requires the manual flick.
Gauge has been checked and the gauge rebuild person says the gauge works and is calibrated correctly. Sensor looks good as it does record the correct temperature once “flicked”.
Any thoughts here?
