So my 1992 305 camaro has a ton of electric problems but I’m trying to solve them one at a time
My air conditioner hasn’t worked since I bought my car however if I turn my key just slightly past run it starts blowing nice cold air. I am wondering if it is the ignition switch or the actual lock itself or something else entirely. If it helps I was recently forced to do the vat’s delete with a resistor

Only two possibilities here, either your ignition switch is out of adjustment, or it's contacts are all pitted & nasty(if everything else but the A/C works, I'd bet on pitted & nasty).

For clarity's sake, it's the black square on top of the steering column with the blue plug plugged into it in this pic;

Try adjusting the ign sw.

Lower the column. It's down near the firewall, on top, has 2 connectors with mostly big fat wires. 2 ¼" hex head screws (maybe 7mm in your year) hold it in place; loosen; slide the switch up the column a bit, maybe 1/8"; tighten; put the column back up. Lather rinse & repeat as necessary.

VATS is not relevant to this.
