Been googling around and apparently google thinks I d o not need to know about airbags for a 3rd gen. Trying to find a diagram of where the individual components are, maybe a schematic and even a little write up how they work/communicate would be nice.

Anyone got some idea or links?

Only thing I've ever noticed is a sensor that is tucked up between radiator/condenser. It has a bright yellow tag on it, can't miss it. Probably that is what sets off the airbag in frontal crash. Its a pretty basic system I imagine, and the airbag probably hurts like hell if it hits you. https://www.gmstc.com/wp-content/upl...ioners_FRG.pdf

This is interesting, maybe there is an energy reserve module too. (in case battery becomes disconnected) seems too sophisticated for a 3rd Gen tho....

There is also one in the center console.

 

I need it to work properly for Safety inspection. Once that is done, I can pull the fuse. Might wire a switch to the light to keep it from driving me batty.

hmmm, didn't notice that one. where specifically? I forgot about the device that blows up the air bag, that's gotta work too.
