just got my estimate back they wanted $1000 to strip and polish the wheels. I got them at a steal I'm not about to drop a "g" on them to get them polished so that's out I will use them them like they are

Since they are a simple design I would say plasti-dip them IMO. My rims are dipped black but there are lots of options out there. A G on rims is a bit much, considering you could drop a G on new rims with the finish you want.
