This is what's happening
for context in case the above link does not work when pressing the interior electrical rear hatch release the hatch will raise but the unlock for the latch will not let go of the hatch and bring it back down. No amount of resisting it going back down releases it. Any and all advice appreciated.
Upon research into other forums it appears i could need this part but not sure :
