Headlamp ground location

Anyone know what hole behind the headlamps where the grounds attach to?

Re: Headlamp ground location

You are in luck. I just painted my core support and fender wells this Saturday and started putting the harness back in place on Sunday. There are two grounds points. One wire on the driver's side behind the high beam, the hole closest to the radiator. Two ground wires on the passenger side behind the high beam, the lowest hole.

Nope - 1st picture, top left hole. Second picture, from your circle, look straight up and there will be a similar hole like the 1st picture.

Re: Headlamp ground location

No matter where you decide to connect the ground wires...

There needs to be a clean, bare metal location (remove any paint) for a good connection with low resistance.

Do Not just attach a Ground Eyelet to any unprepared surface with paint on it!

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: Headlamp ground location

And use a star washer between the terminal on the wire and the bare metal surface; and apply something to manage corrosion of bare metal such as NoOx, dielectric grease, etc..
