I was wondering if anybody knows of a good source to buy them or to learn how to make them? I wanna put one up in my rear window, hehe.

I looked, but I didn't find it on ebay.

I got the basic form of it down. I'd have a 2 foot long box filled with equally spaces leds. 66 x 7 leds. I'd have a controller for each line (7 controllers) which controls all 66 leds on that row. A laptop computer would send it the signal for speed, based on 0 - 5, and tell it when to light up an led. If the speed is equal to zero, then the laptop would send a signal to the controller to tell it which led to light up and when to light it up. There would also be memory to hold and run programs. That's 455 leds we're talking about, so it may be cheaper to buy a premade scroller. If I could figure out which controllers to use, I *might* be able to make the computer program to run it.

Any hard-core electrical fans in here need to help me out!!!

i was in northridge one day and say some guy with one of them in hi car.. some hottie was next to him and he had it scrolling his #.. it was different, but it should be easy to setup.. u should be able to find one that programable that u wouldnt need a computer to run it.. i would think that would be easier to operate..

Yet we're hellbent on saving them with airbags huh TZ ?

Do a search using "LED marquee" on Google or similar search & you'll be amazed at what you will find.

If you're that bent on getting one, you'll spend the $100 on getting a power inverter to run a 120v in your car.
