i have an 87 berlinetta with 2.8 v6 mfi. i'm replacing the engine and i came across a wire on the back side of the engine that has a connector that was broken and looked like it was melted (maybe hanging on exhaust). I'm not sure where it goes. It's dark green with a white stripe. my haynes manual says it goes to the fuel pump relay. where is this relay? also i want to get a k&n high flow air filter but there is a sensor in the filter housing. what is it and do i need it? can i rig it into the kn airfilter some how? any help is greatly appreciated.
