Willie, mine is an 87 Camaro originally LG4. I don't think that there is a difference in the year but there may be a difference in Models. FWIW I'll describe mine, might have some similarities.
Cooling Fan Relay was mounted on the Firewall D/S between the Booster and the Fender.
A - Blk/Red St. (to the Fan)
B - Green (to Fan Switch)
C - Brn/Wht St. (Bulkhead G7)
D - Blank
E - Red (Hot at all times)
My relay had the following numbers on it:
1003 8311
Z8247 TRW
7008

I do have an '86 carburated firebird LG4. The fan relay is different than any I have read on any previous posts. It is against the firewall, driver's side, closest to the side. It has 5 wires. One Black w/ red, one red (actually faded pink), one solid green, and two black with white stripe. I have no idea what the two black with white stripe are. I haven't found this discription anywhere, not to mention that most of these relays are supposed to have four wires, not five. But the green does its job for my Hayden switch, so all's well that ends well.

I was wondering if anyone ever figured out what these wires are. I spliced into the green wire about three months ago, and in the last couple of weeks I have had a lot of electrical problems associated with the fan. My ground wire melted, and although I replaced the wire, now the fan doesn't start spinning without a "push" by my own hand. Messing around with electrical makes me nervous, and shops charge $75+ hourly to fix things I've screwed up, so any help would be much appreciated!
