Does anyone know where to get a remote ignition system? Also, where could I find a remote door system? I'm talking about the kind that "unlocks" your door and opens it for you, so that door handles can be removed on the doors. I've seen it on a few cars, I'm just not sure where they got it. If I can't find it, I'll just end up buliding it, I'd rather find the system though.

 

Summit sells the whole system with door poppers to eliminate door handles. Its from VPA, and has everything you need. The cheap kit is $119.69, and the expensive one is $149.95. Look in the electronics/audio section in the catalog. JC Whitney might have them too.

Its in the audio section, by the power window/locks, alarms, and radar detectors. I am looking at an issue from christmas though. The first one is called VPA Remote door latch kit, for $119.69, part number VIA-80158DP

The second one is VIA-81160, for $149.95, its the 2 door kit.
If it helps, its on page 285. By the way, it has remote ignitions on the same page, by bulldog. Part number BLD-RS102E, for $69.99. Its the one without the alarm. The one with the alarm is BLD-Deluxe62, for $129.99.

before you install, you may wish to research your states motor vehicle laws. in some areas, a car with shaved exterior door handles will fail the annual smog/safety check.
