Need help with push button starter

I got a push button sarter kit from Ignite but I can't seem to get it to work.
Anyone know what color the wire is that comes from the ignition switch to the starter and is "hot" only after the ignition key is on?? This is for an 88' TPI 350.
If I jump this wire when it is charged and the key is on to the yellow wire that goes to the clutch swich I should kick the starter over right??
Or not??

for safety reasons, most car audio installers will leave the remote start features disconnected when installing an alarm into a car with a manual transmission.

remote start + manual transmission = dangerous

This is a diffrent deal that an alarm start. This is how it is supposed to go, you put the key in and turn the ingintion on but instead of using the igntion to start the car you push the button which acts as the ignition, not disabling it but as a second option. Kind of like in the Honda S2000. I know go ahead and laugh, believe me I've heard it all. This is just one thing I wanted to do in my quest to be a little diffrent and unique. No other repleies huh?? Well if it was easy it wouldn't be worth doing I guess.

on the ignition switch harness, jump the red wire to the yellow wire to engage the starter. you should use a relay if your switch is not rated for high current flow.

You will also have to disable the VATS when you engage the PB start. Its the small ga. orange wire under the dash. Find out the resistance from the key and get the correct resistor.

He doesnt need to disable VATS. The key will be in the ignition in the ON position.

David, a remote push button start switch is nothing to laugh at. It is actually a common mod. You can use it to bump your engine with the key off when you dont have that 2nd helper. I installed one and I love it.
