Cooling fan problem

Hey guys, not sure where to post this to get most responses but i'll try here. I have an 87 GTA with a 350 and the dual cooling fans. I just swapped the engine and started driving it around, it runs a little hot, so I checked if the fans were working and they weren't. When i had the 305 in there it ran fine. I checked the relays and i found one to be missing, my dad says it wasn't there in the first place. My question is where can i get a relay, how much and why doesn't the one fan work that does have the relay?

Thanx

Dave

Would runnning the 5.0 chip on the 5.7 cause this?

When you turn the A/C on, do either of the fans come on?
