Weird electrical problem...

Here is what is happening with my car... and I don't get it at all!
I go to turn on the key, and I lose all power. After a bit I can keep power, and I turn the key and nothing happens, but the starter does not turn over at all. Sometimes it goes into little clicking fits...
Could it be that a relay for a starter kill that came w/ an alarm that came w/ the car that is dying and not allowing power?
Any other ideas?
Thanks!
Douglas

Sometimes a corroded terminal at the battery will cause this.Move the terminals around. As a matter of fact ,the EXACT same thing happened to me the other night. And that's what it was.
