Gauge fuse issues

Okay, once in a while my gauge fuse blows when I hit a bump or something. Well today it blew, and I pulled over and replaced it, and it blew again. I replaced it again, and again, it blew. Whats wrong here? What should I check? I'm gonna get sick of driving with that annoying beep constantly. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

watch out. on many older gm products if the guages fuse blows, the alternator does not charge when the engine is running.

I think two wires might be touching, cause I got it to work, then went to go get more fuses and I saw a small flash and then the gauges were out again. I'll check it all out tomorrow. Anyway, I put a 20a fuse in there for now cause its all I got left. Can that hurt anything? I noticed now my voltage gauge is all the way down and the gas is all the way up. They look like they are stuck on the dash bezel thing. Could it be because I have a 20a fuse in instead of a 10? Ugh I hate electronics problems!
