Won a bid on ebay for fuel pressure gauge, need help pic inside

Saved myself a couple of bucks Anyway its just right for my convenience and would fit my bottom pod. It comes with a 6 ft steel braid. Is there anything else i need? sorry for the incompetent post im just making sure. thanx

This is from the seller:
I have here a 2 1/16 size AutoMeter Fuel Pressure Gauge. Used but in excellent condition!! Also included is 6ft of stainless braided line and the mounting bracket.. the light too.. Buyer to pay shipping of $6.00 priority. Paypal preferred but will accept ebay payments and money orders.. Bid Now with Confidence!! check my feedback!! Good Luck!!
Heres the pic

Someone told me dont run the fuel inside, cause i was planning on mounting it on my dual pod. They also said i need a Isolator or Sending unit??? SOrry im not too familiar with wiring and all that stuff, but how do i go about it the right way without sending fuel to the gauge in my pod? is it possible and if so what exactly do i need , thanx for any info.

for safety reasons it is not recomended that you run fuel lines into the passenger compartment of your car. if for some strange reason you get hit in the drivers A-piller and the fuel line breaks then there is a good chance of a fire. an isolater mountsunder the hood and it works by having a line going from the fuel rail to the isolator with fuel in it. from the isolator to the gauge would be another line with coolant(i believe) in it. the all the isolater does is push the cooant at the same pressure that your fuel system is pushing the fuel through the line. they are not cheap either. a complete fuel pressure gauge with isolater is like $200. i do not know if your can just buy an isilater though

I have what looks like the same gage and I agree, do not mount it inside the car. I have mine mounted in the engine compartment
by the strut tower. A good location, and you can see it when adusting the fuel preessure regulator.

I agree, don't mount it inside the car unless you have an isolator. My gauge is inside my car and I do use an isolator that came in the kit with the gauge. You can check with http://www.autometer.com to see if they sell a unit seperate. I thumbed through my Summit catalog and saw that it didn't come separate. Another good idea is to purchase a gauge cup and mount it to the left rear of your hood so that its still outside the vehicle but still can be seen. I acutally did this before I changed to a full fiberglass lift off hood. I also have a second gauge under the hood near the fuel pressure regulator like Z28DJP1987 has mentioned. That way you can monitor fuel pressure while your tuning under the hood. Good Luck!

P.S. - That is coolant in the line from the isolator to the gauge.
