Re: NEEDED T56 PARTS

Here they are.....

As you can see, it was originally one that had provisions for the torque arm but that piece got sawed off. It would be an easy piece to duplicate if you wanted to purchase a torque arm from Spohn. Without the piece, it's only function is to properly mount a T56.

Re: NEEDED T56 PARTS

What is the torque arm for? Is it necessary to have it?

Re: NEEDED T56 PARTS

You already have a torque arm. It is mounted to your transmission and goes all the way back to your rear axle. It is one of the most important links of your rear axle to your chassis. If the T56 you have is from a Camaro or Firebird then it already has a torque arm mount. Some guys upgrade the torque arm to a stiffer unit to improve handling. Spohn mounts their upgraded arm to the transmission crossmember. Edelbrock mounts theirs to the transmission.

Read this article carefully. It explains what your looking at in installing a T56 in your car. Their crossmember is just like mine....with no torque arm mount.
