They're IN!! Memcal adapters for all!
The difference is, mine is easier to use, and has a feature so if you hit a bump, your memcal doesn't fall out... and it's cheaper.
The memcal will only go on ONE way with my adapter. Not so with the moates.
The adapter has a hole to take a cable tie or piece of wire to secure the memcal. Moates unit doesn't.
Finally, Moates - $35+shipping, mine - $15 shipped.

Do you sell any burning hardware at all? Will this adapter work on both the 1227165 and 122730 ECMs? If I don't get the ZIF socket whats the chances on breaking something with the pry it out method? How much abuse will these take?
Sorry, no burners... ebay has them pretty cheap.
I don't know enough about the 7165 to say yes or no*****. If it uses a memcal like on pg 1, and looks like it will fit, it probably will work. The ZIF socket is just a handy thing to have, it's not necessary by any means.
I burned literally over a thousand chips using a regular socketed one... each time prying it out with a small screwdriver... and replacing it... and taking it out... and replacing it...
I doubt 99% of the people here will ever catch up to me in that respect. If you're planning on it though, like doing something nobody has ever built/done before... buy the ZIF. Then you don't need the screwdriver. (just flip a lever and the chip falls out)
*****edit: Yes, I'm pretty sure it'll work.

I have found the burner you suggested on Ebay. It seems pretty rudementry. I do believe it listed the chips you sell as a chip it will burn. Have you had any experience with this burner? If so have you ever compared it to the one Moates sells?
Thanx again.
P.S. Here is the list of chips it will burn.

I am using the Willems burner... and even though it was made in hong kong (or some far east country), it has worked flawlessly. The trick is learning how to set it up the first time. So expect lots of "Burn Error"s until you figure out how to set the switches.
Overall, highly recommended.
I've never used the moates one.

Is there any additional cost to ship these USPS into Canada? Don't need to get it real fast, there either Global Priority or Airmail Letter Post (up to 7 days it looks like).
I'm thinking 1 assembled adapter and 3 EEPROM's.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner...
I could do that. Same as before.
Yes, ZIF's are on order and cost $8 now. I may be running out of 512's, I'd need to check

Hi Guys-
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner........ incredibly busy here lately. I got your emails and PMs.
I do have ZIFs and memcal adapters on hand. I don't have any chips at the moment. If you want a kit that you solder yourself - I can send it ASAP. If you want an "assembled" kit that you just plug in and go, it's going to have to wait. (At least another week)
