fresh 406 sbc for sale cheap
new 400 (817 casting) bored +.030"
2 bolt main ARP through out all of the motor.
stock crank and rods
speed pro hyperutectics'
speed pro moly rings
lunati bm2 cam (00010lk) .480/.480 292 duration
milodon oil pan
mellings high volume pump
fel pro gaskets
block work done by Riverside Engines in Tiffin, OH
bore
align bore mains
true head surface
hot tank
mag
cam bearings + freeze plugs (brass)
I will do $1000 on the short block or also have a set of bowtie 034 heads that are still attached that I will do $1500
the heads have the steam holes drilled for street use and high lift springs SS valves. great heads I have flow #'s available as well.
this motor has never been started I put it together and haven't had time to mess with it and now have decided to build an 18* motor. tranny will also be for sale once motor is sold.
here is a pic
the Lokar dipstick and cables stay with me though.
the orange showing through on the passenger side head is paint they were originally orange and I just painted over. motor has sat for about a year but has been in dry storage. I checked over it and there is extremely light surface rust starting on the springs (heads) but rubbed right off with my finger so purely superficial. the block valley is spotless and I coated lightly I coated the cylinder walls and the heads have been on there the whole time so no worries there. the heads have been exposed so there is the reason of surface rust on springs. I also have high res pics so you can see for your self.
I have the receipt for block work and bearings and the steam holes to get drilled totalling $1300 and $500 for the donor motor so this is a great deal for someone.
