What kind of power would you say it has? I've been wanting to save up for a 383 swap, but this one is already put together and is cheaper than a 383 swap.

Why does it need a new cam and main bearings though?

probably about 265~270RWHP with a stock TB, and plenum so about 315~320 Flywheel. WIth a carb it would make more power.

Stupid me I for got to drain the intake, and some water got in the bottom end- I flushed it well. but when I started it again it had low oil pressure, no knock or anything, just was only pulling about 35psi, so I figure it needs new bearings. THis motor would be an easy re-build. I'm being 100% honest-no bull. or you could add a stroker crank and get a 390 or what ever size it would be.

Really that doesn't sound too bad, it sucks that your so far away from me. Sounds like it would be a good starter motor to get some power out of instead of my little 305. I couldn't imagine paying shipping on that from there to here.
