Re: 400sbc
I got a shipping quote from Pa to Mi for a guy for $163.00 guessing the weight to be around 350 pounds for the block, crank, pistons, balancer, flex plate and the crate to ship it in, for a 406 motor. UPS is expensive as hell, they wanted $90 to ship a Ford 9" center section to someone else in AR from PA that weighed 71.1 pounds on their scale..

Re: 400sbc
who did you get the quote thru? UPS FREIGHT is a 200 yard walk from my shop so they can just drive a folk lift right on over and pick up a pallet.
I agree they are high.

If I give you this info you may have to send me some of them billet Z28 badges you make LOL. I got the quote through American Freight Companies. I would have had to deliver the crate to Roadway though.

Anyone who is looking for shipping quotes goto
http://ltl.upsfreight.com/shipping/p...ing/index.aspx
My ZIP is 44438
Class 50 leave the fuel surchage alone. thats the UPS rate.
Id guess everything willl be around the 350lb range.
Check the Residential Pickup or Delivery unless you have a loading dock at a business you can use.
