Its nice, but 475hp? Isnt that a little HIGH for that setup?
BTW: A 5spd "which is capable of handling the power".... suuuure.
Its probably still got the original LG4 motor in it, just dressed up all pretty... Anyone else catch the TPI snorkel?

It probably was a V6 and he just left the snorkle in there to fill up space. How many cars were at this "show"? Looks like a driver to me. I would drive it like crazy.

dont forget the 20 hp from each of those chrome radiator and winsheild washer bottles... would have thought he would have taken off the tpi air snorkel thing
the 457 hp is to the flywheel to, so it probably has less to the rear wheels

I don't see why it'd be hard to believe a Dart headed 406 would have any problem putting out 450 hp at the flywheel. Am I wrong in thinking this?
It is a really nice car, I love the interior. That's exctly what I want mine to look like. Anybody know what kind of door panels those are? Custom?

ok i sent him a email to find out a little more about the car here is the email that i sent, had to give him a bit of bs, so i hopefully will get answers from the guy
"hey, i was looking at the camaro on ebay and i had few questions for you about the car so here they are, first why do you still have the stock tpi air scoop on there if you have a open element filter ? it says that there is 457 hp at the flywheel but how much rwhp is there ? are the washer/coolant bottles painted or did you find chromish ones somwerhe, and wehre if you did, and it appears that those are 4th gens seats, and the door panels seem to match them, but they are not 4th gens, i was wondering what kind they were or if you had them custom made ? what engine/ tranny did the car have it in origonally ? and what kind of t5 is that ? is it a tremec, g-force, world class or is it just built up ?
as soon as i get a email back from him i will post his reply

Hey
Im responding to your question:
1) the stock TPI air scoop is there basically because it blows more air under the hood which is then sucked in by air filter...it can be removed however, it does serve a small purpose.
2) approx. 400 rwhp
3)coolant bottles are painted, I have 2 other black ones if you dont like them.
4)seats out of 95 Trans am...custom door skinns, leather as well
5) tranny is a World Class T-5, bought it last summer as well.
anymore questions, e-mail me.
Ryan

I'm not disagreeing with you though, even if he isnt making the power he is saying, it is still making a pretty solid street machine. I just have a problem with the T5, why in the world would you leave a T5 behind it, then say it can handle it because its a World Class. If you believe that, then....Yeah.
By the way I dont have any times/numbers yet, but my Vortec headed 350 would be a pretty good battle.

Flywheel horsepower and Rear-Wheel horsepower are generally pretty different numbers. It's not impossible for a well built 400 to achieve 450 or so horses, but losing about 75 in drivetrain loss seems generous. It seems to me the 400 is more of a torque monster, and would have to be taken to uncomfortable RPM's for that block to hit it; however it does have a forged bottom end. I had a roller 408 in my Nova with World heads and World intake, it ran 12's and yanked the nose off the ground for a hop or two, it was all torque. That's just my experience, but that's how I built the engine, for torque. With a forged bottom end I'm sure you could buzz it up to make that kind of power, but maintaining 400hp at the rear wheels seems a bit high to me. That's all.
EDIT; Not a flame, not a put down, not an argument, just expressing my opinions and experiences.
