I bought this rear last year and I used it for about 3 thousand miles. I took it out, because it whined. I thought the posi was worn also, but I found out later that I used too much limited slip additive. I thought the whine was from the pinion bearings. But I put in a 3.70 9 bolt rear and it whined also. If anyone wants it i'll sell it, it's located in NY. There are no brakes or backing plates.

I think I inquired about this rear back in April but never heard anything back when I was getting ready to pick it up.

Is this ready for sale now? What kind of price are you looking for? Can you strap it to a pallet so I can have a freight company pick it up and ship it? Got any pictures?

Justin I don't remember, but I cold be wrong. I never looked into strapping anything to a pallet, I guess I can when I have time, but lately I don't. I can take pics also. I paid 400 for it with useless brakes. I'll take 300, but I doubt i'll get that. thanks for the interest.
Supposably the carrier was installed new along with the gearset, with parts purchased from 9bolt.com.

 

I should clarify, the noise is a whine at part throttle at about 70. I also did change the fluid without additive and the posi worked, but then I put the 370 rear back in.

 

i may consider $300 and driving half way about 2.5 hours one way if your up for it. let me know im in no rush or if you cant sell it localy are you down by nyc or in orange county
