complete turnkey TPI drivetrain

I'm just getting the word out on this now so that hopefully I have a buyer lines up when I pull it out of the car this summer.

For sale is a complete turnkey drivetrain from my 1991 Z28. It will consist of the complete 305TPI motor from intake to oil pan, the wiring harness, and the 700R4. All accesories will be included MINUS the a/c compressor and lines.

This drivetrain sits with 103,xxx miles right now. It is a strong running, stock drivetrain. It propelled my heavy convertible to a 15.0 in the quarter mile, which is a pretty good time for a 305, and it's BONE STOCK.

I will be completely honest and up front about the motor, it has a leaky rear main seal as well as what I am assuming to be the valve guide seals. The reason I believe it is the valve guide seals is because if you let it sit for more than a day, when it starts you get a small puff of smoke at startup. It's not a big issue to change these out, especially with the motor out of the car. The rear main seal won't be a challenge either, because with the drivetrain removed from the car, unbolting the transmission would be a cake walk.

There are no signs of any other issues with the motor other than the two minor issues with the above mentioned seals. It is a strong running motor that was powering my daily driver for 5 years, equating to approximately 70,000 miles.

The trans shifts great, there is a very slight slip going into 2nd or 3rd gear, I actually can't remember which because it's been a while since I drove it. I know that it is a common thing with 700R4's and that a corvette servo will fix it in most cases. These servos can be had for less than $100.

I'd also like to note that because the motor and wiring harness are stock, it is uncut and unmolested. Everything under my hood looks stock except for the blue Taylor wires and the MSD coil.

Interested parties can drive the car while it's still in a running state, or I can provide a video clip of the car running if it is too far of a drive to come check it out. This will be coming out sometime in June or July most likely, and I will be asking $950 obo.

I don't know, I'd really rather keep it all together, but I would probably say $750.

I almost forgot to mention, I can also throw in the dual snorkle intake for the TPI system, and two K&N filters for another $100.

Re: complete turnkey TPI drivetrain

I may have a potential buyer for the longblock only. If that happens, I'll be seperating the TPI parts and the transmission.
