twin turbo....

ok guys i am very sad to say but i have run out of steam, and patience to finish my twin turbo 84 firebird. i will always keep my high school car (my first ever car) but she needs to get back on the road and stretch her legs so i am selling the turbos and just about everything that goes with it.... here are some pics of the setup.. although before anyone pms me keep in mind that i no longer have the tpi setup (sold it) i am now running a edelbrock pro flo efi kit with a turbonetics top hat. i will be keeping the pro flo kit for right now cause i have an a1000 pump regulator and braided line that would be useless if i went back to a carb. i will be selling both 60mm roto-master freshly rebuilt turbos, wastegates, manifolds, and intercooler. i also have a methanol pump but haven't bought the lines or the nozzles... i also have a polished nitrous bottle with a nitrous solenoid and about 15ft of braided -4 line i was gonna use with a spray bar for the intercooler. all this has to go! i need my baby back on the road.... this a link to my photobucket page which i never use.... http://s73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...t=DSCI0065.jpg http://s73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...t=DSCI0003.jpg i will post more pics on request however if you want some detail about certain parts let me know. the turbos will not be sold for less than 500 a peice. i paid 600 a peice and the car has never run with them on. any other questions let me know. i will be posting these on ebay soon if noone wants them but i figured i would give my fellow third gen fans first pick.. third gens will live forever!

Re: twin turbo....

id take 1600 plus shipping Firm... this will inlcude pipes to the turbos from the intercooler, the turbos, manifolds, an extra set of stainless steel manifolds the require a small amount of modification (to clear steering arm, didn't have time to do it) wastegates, a metanol pump (no lines or nozzles) with a boost referenced on/off switch, a blow off valve, the braided oil lines to both turbos and the npt adapter that goes above the oil filter and all fittings, the intercooler. i am really bummed about even posting all this stuff cause i told myself not to give up, and i would tell anyone this but i am in a shitty situation and need something to cheer myself up and just so has it a dirtbike i have been looking for sits lonely across the street. help me out and i will help you out my friends. but don't read my **** and give up cause your money hungry, pull through cause its worth it!

Re: twin turbo....

i had never had it running with any of this stuff on. the motor was technically finished however i had not finished the down pipes... the car is just waiting on paint right now. I still am in shock that i have even mentioned selling this but i guess sometimes you have to...

Re: twin turbo....

yeah probably... where i live the nearest 1/4 mile is 3 1/2 hours away but there are two 1/8 mile tracks within 25 minutes.... so in my terms i would have tried to get in the high 6's low 7's

Re: twin turbo....

yes it has external wastegates... i believe they are 38mm wastegates. i would rather meet in person also rather than ship... that wayif i have some more stuff lying around that i don't need i could throw that in for no extra charge. however i would hate for someone to drive all the way from florida only to try and barter down. as all of you know doing a project like this requires a lot of time, patience and most of all money. 1600 for everything turbo related on this car isn't a bad deal. once you include what everything costs brand new then charge labor to fabricate or install you getting into some pretty high numbers. it bugs the **** out of my to even put this stuff up for sale so please don't ask for any less on this deal as all i have to do is not sell it and i have a twin turbo third gen to drive around. i just figured this would make my life easier cause it is less stuff to mess with and less stuff to break or maintain.

Re: twin turbo....

also not sure if anyone is familiar with a mass air flow translator... but i have a mass air flow translator pro. if you go to www.maftpro.com it will tell you all about it. basically it wires into a stock wiring harness I.E. a tpi harness (thats what i bought it for originally) and it translates your mass air flow system into a speed density. there is more about this system that i don't understand then i do... im not a huge wiring guru. however i originally bought this for the tpi unit i was running and never ended up wiring this up. i paid about 600 dollars for this whole thing including a gm air temp sensor, a gm 3 bar map sensor, and an electronically controled boost solenoid specifically designed for this system. i am willing to let this go for cheep cheep if someone is seriously interested in this whole kit. of course if you were to show up with pictures of a mustang that you threw a tpi in and wanted to make it twin turbo i would have to tell you to turn around. sorry mustang guys but i am third gen f-body all the way! anyway if your serious i have more pictures and will take more pictures on specific stuff if need be. all i need is time to take them and post them. i am very excited to pass this along to another third gen person....
