This is what it looked like a few years with all the bright stuff polished. All you need to do is buff it out again. You can also see where the engine sits in the car. Camaro would have better clearance to the front pulley.

Very nice piece! Curious, what is special about your headers? Will they work with hydraulic clutch/manual tranny? chris.

Re: Supercharged 454 big block Chevy
What's special about these headers is that they have larger primaries tubes than off-the-shelf headers and the collectors are located next to the transmission pan. No other header has these features. Lemons is 2nd to none in build quality and cost $1200. I had these custom made for myself because I wasn't happy with what was available. There is no other set in existence.
I did trial fit a Lakewood bellhousing because I had a Tremec TKO at one time. The headers want to go through the bellhousing. The 3rd gen trans tunnel is just too small to accommodate the larger bellhousing and header tubes. I don't know about a T5, but the engine will blow up a T5 the first time you push the loud pedal.

Yes, I am well aware of Lemons quality & price for his header's. If you look at my sig I'm running a nash 4+1. I think if it will clear a T5 it should clear mine..... I think? Just wonder what you'd sell them for?

Spohn torque arm and trans mount for the TKO? Is this the one with a driveshaft loop? What would you be looking to get for this setup?

Re: Supercharged 454 big block Chevy
It's a standard duty adjustable torque arm with spherical rod end and transmission mount for Tremec TKO. No driveshaft loop. It has never been used on the road. Just been mounted to my brand new Strange 12 bolt and holding up my TH400 all these years. The piece is about 10 years old so it looks a little different then what Spohn is selling today. New unit sells for $384. I'll give you $100 discount.
I can lift the back of the car and take pictures this weekend. There are hammer marks on the back bracket because it fit very tight over my 12 bolt housing. It's not going to come off any easier so expect some more chipped paint.

Re: Supercharged 454 big block Chevy
It's a good question but I don't know the answer.
The headers were made at Lemons' shop using an early year 3rd gen roller and a TH400 mounted in the car. I don't know my transmissions good enough to guess at compatibility. As long as the trans is more narrow than a TH400 I presume it would fit.

Re: Supercharged 454 big block Chevy
The TH400 is a very large trans. I would venture to guess the 700 is no bigger than it...possibly a tad longer but no wider so it should work no problem.
As for the Torque arm and crossmember thanks for replying but i was really hoping for the driveshaft loop just for some added security. Good luck with the sale.

Loops are cheap. You can weld it wherever you want for exact fit.

Re: Supercharged 454 big block Chevy
Because I quit working on the car before the engine was running. I don't have a fuel system and the supercharger needs to be sent off for rebuild.
On a side note, I was talking to a friend yesterday and we might put the engine in his Monte Carlo so it can run again. It's just an idea at this point but we're contemplating it so that I can sell a running engine and he can drive a 10 second car in the mean time.
Yes, no problem. My garage is very tight and I have to rearrange things to be able to jack up the car. Might be a couple days because it just turned cold and snowy again. Get back with you soon.
