Killer Full Race Powerglide
My father has decided to go back to the street and would like to put a stick in his 1955 Bel Air.
Trans is a Powerglide with an ATI super bellhousing, TCI pro tree transbrake, TCI deep pan, hardened input shafter, aftermarket planetary 1.76 first.
This trans was built by Bradco. Initially it had a stock planetary but a bearing gave out in it, So Bradco rebuilt it completly, all good clutches and such, added an aftermarket planetary. We put it in the car, broke a rearend and took the car apart for rebuild, body work and paint.
The trans literally has less than 10 miles on it, did not even get to the track after the rebuild. It has everything. Rated for 1000hp. Redline fluid was used from day one, has not had fluid change since rebuild yet.
Converter is an 8" unit with anti ballon plate. Foot braked on the street behind a 427 bbc at about 4800rpm.
Includes a complete Hurst Pro Stick with Magnum grip and button on top.
Has a Lokar Braided trans dipstick and braided steel cooler lines.
The unit has been bagged up in my dads garage for the last 2 years.
This is a killer trans setup, with less than 10 miles and will hold up very well.
Again, the only reason he wishes to sell is to go to a stick. If you have a good stick of equal value, trandes will be considered.
I will get some pics, let me know if interested.

Like I said, the car did not get driven much after the build. I know it would come up pretty high, but this was behind a 427bbc. Rear had 31x10.5ow ETs, and a 4.71 rear gear.

Only had a hand full of street launches and a couple miles driving around town til we broke the rear, and dad decided to pull the car apart for a long list of changes, repairs, upgrades, etc... Now he wants a stick.
