If we see something on ebay that someone may need, or would like to have. How are we suppost to tell each other? Maybe smoke signals. Whats the problem with ebay anyway

 

Send them a pm........simple.

 

send who a pm. everyone on the forum. if i know someone spacific ya i could pm them other wize how do you get the message out to the forum

 

It's just a rule of the board to keep people from promoting their own eBay sales. Some places like CorvetteForum have lifted those kinds of rules, but such a ban definitely helps keep thirdgen.org's for sale board much more refined. Imagine how fast it would devolve into a self-promoting eBay forum if there was no rule on posting eBay sales here.

I usually post stuff for sale on here, and then on eBay in a few weeks if it doesn't sell. Of course, I always search here and eBay when I'm looking for something. Seems to work pretty well.

Imagine what this forum would be like if referring/linking ebay ads was allowed. It would kill this forum. Businesses would post also.....it would be a mess.

 

What if it's not yours and your on ebay and you come across something that someone can or maybe able to use. I think you sould be aloud to tell people about it. What if it's something someone has bin looking for for a long time just to finish their car like a nos power antena or something. What can we do about this, In my opinion it just ant right. The ebay item that started all this wasn't even mine. I was just trying to notify everyone that has an f body what better way than post it on thirdgen.
