I recently bought a transmission of a guy locally in town and after doing some research found its actually a pretty rare transmission. Within the past month or month and a half i bought a 71 camaro that im restoring, and am gathering parts for. I actually ended up buying the transmission from the guys buddy i bought the 71 from. The trans had originally came out of another Camaro his buddy had, which was an 83 camaro. After doing some research and talking to some guys that specialize in the 4speeds I came to find out the trans is actually a Borg Warner Super T10 from an 82 Camaro. The only year the 4speeds came in the Third gens. Given the rarity of the trans I think it would only be right for someone with a third gen get some use out of it. I do have an 84 z but I already have a 5speed in the car, and am quite happy with it.(Whether or not its as strong as the 4speed) So im looking to sell the transmission and it would be awesome to see someone with an 82 be able to put it to good use. I do no the trans has all new seals and around 20,000 miles on it. The guy i bought it off of had it rebuilt before he put it in his 83 camaro. He pulled the motor and trans and ended up going a different way with that car so I ended up with it. Im looking to get $1200 for the transmission given its rarity and the condition, which I think is a fair price. Located in central New Jersey and local pickup would be great. Price is negotiable. That might be a T-10 but Super T-10's were cast iron case.

Over the winter I just had my '82 ST-10 gone through or I would be more interested in this !
