Need help with nos setup

Guys, I would like to get some assistance on my 5176 nitrous kit installation (125 shot with 80 psi booster fuel pump). I have everything mounted and wired. My components are a 5.7 liter vortech engine with a Holley stealth intake, stock throttle body, stock computer and Bosch injectors from a Chrysler. The injectors are 238cc/22.6 lbs per hour and good for 325 horsepower. My questions are, do I need to upgrade the injectors? Do I need to adjust timing on the car. The fuel pressure stock is 36 psi. Do I need to adjust the regulator to 80 psi? This is all for my 89gta.

If you need help selling it you are in the right place. Otherwise look at a different section. Power adders would be where I started.

Re: Need help with nos setup

You do not need to upgrade your injectors. You do not need to adjust your timing. If the motor starts to detonate it will adjust timing back up to 20 degrees if needed. You do not need to adjust you fuel pressure. Idle is about 36-40 psi. At wot you should see 48-50 psi. Question how to you plan on engaging the nitrous? Do you have a button in the car or do you have a wot switch? If you just have a button in the car with you only hit the bottle at wot. If you hit the button at 3/4 throttle you will run lean and damage the engine badly.

Re: Need help with nos setup

I have a micro switch on the throttle body that completes the electrical circuit at WOT. I keep getting a lot of different advice on what I need to run NOS safely. I listed this thread in power adders and I was told I would need a 6Al ignition box to retard the time when I spray. I was under the impression that the cars computer would do that on it on. Do think I need the booster fuel pump on the system?
