Lloyd Elliott ported AFR 1040 195cc heads
My dad has decided not to build his 89 GTA so these heads are now for sale. We bought them brand new from a member here on the forum and then had Lloyd port them. We never ran them and then sold them to another member who sold them back to us. That's the backstory on how we ended up having them again.
AFR 1040 195cc heads. 65cc Chambers, 2.05/1.60 valves, studs and guideplates included, believe they are 3/8 studs. An identical set of AFR 1040 heads we had ported by Lloyd flowed 310/230@.600 lift. We didn't have this specific set flowed but they are great heads ready to make some good power. Heads are $SOLD.

Its both yes and no.
The 195cc port isn't too large for that size cam, so you'll still have good intake velocity on a 350 size engine.
I have a set of AFR 195cc heads on my LT1 and with my 350 they will make power past 7000rpm with the right cam.
You would gain a good chunk of power in the 5500rpm+ and the engine would not fall off quickly, but ultimately you would be leaving performance on the table. Especially with a TPI style intake which would restrict high end flow.
