I have a complete kit that is unused. I'll post more pics in a few weeks but I had a member asking for pics. I just have pics of the supercharger piece for now New In Box.
I plan to sell this for far less than the price I paid for it. These kits sold for about $3800 new, and included a fuel pressure boost reference piece that bumps up the fuel pressure as boost goes up so you are not required to retune if you bolt on all the parts. All parts and brackets etc are included.
I'm working on a pre-move and downsizing.

 

What are you asking for the kit? Also that pressure regulator is called a rising rate pressure regulator. They usually come in a certain ratio. Pounds of fuel pressure: pounds of boost.

 

Your are correct on the rising rate regulator, I think vortech called it a Fuel Management Unit or some such thing. I'll get pics of the entire kit posted, including the detailed installation manual sometime in the next week if I can. I don't have an exact price in mind yet but a fraction of the MSRP is what I'll sell it for. E.g. less than half what it cost. I'm thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 1/3 the original price or less. Considering it's brand new and you can't find them now that's a bargain !

 

Is it for TPI?

 

Yes, the entire kit is made for a TPI only, firebird or camaro 3rd gen and has all the parts to bolt right up without a retune or any other things required. There is an aluminum cast piece that goes to the intake made to fit exactly these 3rd gens.

 

Bump for a great deal if you gonna sell it for 1/3 of the price kinda wish i had a tpi car.

 

Does the kit include an intercooler?

 

Is this kit for the serpentine setup

 

Serpentine yes, intercooler, there was none offered by vortech for the L98 that I'm aware of, no.

Thank you all who have expressed interest, I'll do my best to post pics today. I will offer it for $1000 face to face cash with no hassles, or $1200 shipped with buyer to pay shipping. It is heavy with all the brackets and supercharger head unit. I will post more detailed pics and info so the buyer can be informed of what he is getting. As I said in the first post, I'll post more pics in a few weeks, I'm busy. It gives people time to do their research and get their funds ready. E.g. family member was in a car accident yesterday and now that takes priority over pics at the moment. It's also the reason I said I would prefer face to face than boxing everything and shipping it. There are a lot of parts to the complete kit and their stored in a wood box under some other stuff in the garage. If you don't have time to wait that's ok. Please let me know where you find any deal halfway as good as this. All I see out there are used kits with most of the parts missing for $1500-$3000.

I took pics. I'll get them posted but I need to shrink their file size or it will be too much for this forum and I will get scolded.
I made a youtube video of turning it by hand. There is no pressurized oil in it now so you hear some gear noise as it is being spun. You can see the factory balance marks etc on it, and how it is unused. There are more parts there then I had remembered when I boxed it years ago. It is likely the only remaining new kit a person could find. You can see how it has all the parts like boost retard and fuel pump and fuel pressure increasing regulator and all the wiring harness items etc. It should be worth $5000 with all that considered : )
But I'll stick to my original offered price. I'll be working on uploading pics and a who is where in line list now.

Edit: BTW the manual pictures are only half the pages to illustrate how detailed they are in the instructions, so most amateur mechanics could follow the procedures.

 

I was going to say it wouldn't help going with a bigger supercharger without doing internal engine mods and computer mods. From your signature I see you did all that. It certainly is the way to high hp. But that route is far from an easy complete bolt on kit. I'm selling this entire kit for less than a set of premium long tube headers and exhaust.

I think he is being fair Twin Turbo. I would do the same as well to be fair with everyone else.

 

I was in pretty much the same "pickle" as Twin Turbo was on a set of LTs. That is until I up-ed the money and swiped em.

I could have sent it right away but he never gave me payment instructions because everyone was waiting on pics. Now it's sold to someone who ponied up the cash.... I had the money ready to send when I said I would buy it.

I know your frustration Twin Turbo. I've been in your shoes as far as buying parts many times. If it makes you feel any better I did not get this kit either. I would've sold all my turbo stuff and had a kit like this on my car in no time
