Brake Kit: Price Reduction...

Good afternoon, all:

Update: 12-07-2017. Braking kit in post #17 has now been sold along with all of the engine related parts. Thanks to all for your interest. More items to come in the days ahead!

I've got five items here for sale. I collected them over the course of the last 2-3 years for a build that is now stalled indefinitely. These are all new items. None of which have ever been used or even test fitted. I'd like to see these go to a person or people that need/want them for their own builds/upgrades. For reference, I'm in coastal Southern California.

First is an original Accel SuperRam plenum and runners kit (P/N 74196). It has the plenum box, lid, runners for both sides of the engine, as well as all original gaskets and hardware. It has a small amount of that white flaky corrosion on the bottom of the plenum box where the runners mount to it, but it is minor and would either polish out with some fine grit sandpaper or perhaps even some metal polish. It wouldn't impact sealing at all, but I like to be upfront about these things. I paid about $950.00 originally, but I'm asking $500.00 shipped to any US-based address.

This photo shows the only place that the manifold isn't quite pristine. Shouldn't impact sealing at all.

Next is a BBK throttle body. It has twin 58mm plates. Part number 1539 for your reference. It comes with gaskets, hardware...and even the sticker! Asking $175.00 shipped in the US.

Fourth and fifth are two sets of ARP studs. One set is for the cylinder heads (P/N 234-4301) and one is for a set of headers (P/N 400-1412). They are all new in their original box (head studs) or shrink wrap packaging (header studs). I'm asking $125.00 shipped for the head studs and $60.00 shipped for the header studs.

Please note: If you're interested in bundling 2 or more items, there is a little room for dealing here. I generally get into the forum at about noon Pacific Time M-F and sometimes in the evenings as well. The only real "catch" here is that I generally ship on Saturdays, so if you need something I offer here right away, that might be an issue. Feel free to PM me anytime. I try to answer all inquiries within 24 hours, if possible.

Thanks for checking out my thread!

All the best,
1989Roadster.

Re: All New: Accel SuperRam 74196, Edelbrock 3861, BBK 1539, ARP 234-4301 and 400-14

Hello, Thirdgen.org:

I tried posting this ad 3 times and it never materialized...or so I thought.

I reached out to people in the "parts wanted" section and as of right now, I've sold the SuperRam and Edelbrock 3861. The throttle body, head studs, and header studs are still available.

I apologize for the confusion on this...I honestly didn't know my ad even showed up.

Prices on the remaining items, BBK 1539, head and header studs are still the same.

Thanks again!

anthonyrazors: I'll be sending you a response directly to your personal message.

For what it's worth, I've had some of this stuff for awhile (1-3 years). Yes, I realize that I'm not asking a lot for these, but I just want to see others get these things if they believe that they can use them.

I have a few other items that may materialize here in the days/weeks to come whose prices will reflect market conditions more closely. I just didn't want the "ebay effect" to kick my tail. It had been several months since I had posted an item for sale, that I almost forgot how much better the crowd is here on Thirdgen.org than it is in the wild world of ebay.

Onward and upward...

If the head studs are still here in 2 weeks, I'll take them.

Thanks. If they're here then, we can do that.

Please keep in mind that shipping to Canada may take a little longer.

I'll update the thread as any changes in status take place.

Re: All New: Accel SuperRam 74196, Edelbrock 3861, BBK 1539, ARP 234-4301 and 400-14

Good morning, engineman_1: The head studs are gone, and as of this moment, the header studs have a sale pending. If anything falls through, I'll let you know. I do have other brand new valvetrain items (Comp Cams/Trick Flow) that I was planning on selling if you're interested. Let me know if you might be interested and I'll get you a list. Also, I've collected a group of Corvette (5th Gen) brake components that I'd like to sell also (I didn't use them). Same story. If you're interested, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks,
Anthony (1989roadster)

Good afternoon, all:

The header studs have now been sold.

However, the 5th Generation braking components kit referenced in my previous post above is still available.

Thanks,
1989roadster.

The braking component set-up is $325.00 including shipping to any US address. Sorry for the oversight on that.

what’s needed to complete your “brake kit” to make it a bolt on and go setup ?

By my estimation, the only things you'd need to complete the set up here are: (1) rotors, (2) pads, (3) lines, and (4) spindle modifications.

Existing lines might work, but I'm not sure about that. The length might have to be different. The rotors and pads aren't too expensive, as there are a lot of choices for Corvettes. The spindle modifications are not difficult, but it would require some down time (or spare spindles from a junkyard) if you were to farm out the work to a machine shop.

That may not be complete, but I'm pretty sure that hits all of the large items that I didn't get. Any way you cut it, this is the least expensive way to make a significant improvement to any 3rd Gen's braking capacity.
