I have 16 steering shafts modified and ready to go! These are Astro/Safari shafts. They were all very clean and in great shape when pulled. They have been modified for install in our Thirdgens (and S10s and G-Bodies). All shafts have been cleaned up, hit with self etching primer and painted with semi-gloss. They include the pinch bolts as well, and will come greased and ready to go. The little stopper set screws are also in place.
I won't get into the installation as there are tons of write ups here on the site. They are ALMOST a bolt in part. You only need to make a small notch in the steering column shaft end for the pinch bolt to clear. If you are looking for one of these, you likely already know about them.
These are getting harder to find, not as many Astro/Safaris in the local yards. At least around me.
Price is $80.00 shipped in the lower 48.
PayPal is preferred, if you are local to me (Downingtown, PA) I will cut you a deal if you pick up.
Let me know! I'm not sure what kind of demand this will generate here on the forums, but I wanted to start here before moving to FB.
Thanks....any questions let me know.
You can message me on here or shoot me an email.

Justin This is the small notch you need to make. Dremel or even a hand file will get it done. Slide the shaft end on, mark location through the hole, make the notch and then install!

Reason: Price change
I've an inquisitive mind, what does this "upgrade" do?
gets rig of the stock rag joint which flexes and usually very worn by this point. These Astro shafts have needle bearings that take out all the flex giving you a much firmer steering feel. It’s apparent when you have the stocker and one of these in your hand.
