Single Factory Electric Fan

Factory electric fan from my 1985 TPI IROC, may also fit other 3rd gen models. FAN was recently installed and working. Cooling system was upgraded so I no longer need this.
Asking $50 plus shipping

Re: Single Factory Electric Fan

I think that fan blade style was specific to the 85........ in case anyone is a "stickler" for the exact parts for their ride !

Re: Single Factory Electric Fan

Not to thread-jack, but the blades on that fan are shaped differently from the blades on my '84 fan. I wonder if that one moves more air than mine...

Re: Single Factory Electric Fan

Love reviving old threads. Anyway, the inconsistent blade spacing is to reduce noise (in theory). A blade passing over an object will make a noise. If the blades are evenly spaced and rotating at a consistent speed, you'll end up with effectively constructive interference between the blade noises, increasing the effective volume. By making the blade spacing inconsistent, constructive interference is no longer as probable. Fun stuff!
