Mine were a little rough but I couldn't find any bearings specifically for our application. After several hours of research, I found a sealed bearing equivalent and some solid rivets. I had to buy 10 bearings and a box of 150 rivets. I really don't think I will have a use for them in the future so I am offering them for sale.
The bearing is a new, sealed, high speed unit. Included are 10 rivets, (Just in case you need more)... Rivets can be bucked in placed or a hydraulic press also produces excellent results.
The original rivets are about .195" in diameter. The heads vary several thousandths around .300", depending on how hard they were bucked at the factory. The new rivets are .202" in diameter with a head of .406". Use a 13/64" bit to enlarge the holes.
If this restores the factory strut mount I am definitely would like to buy a pair. Are you saying you press these into the factory front strut mounts? How do you get the old part out? Did you end up using the rivets?
Yes, it's a light press fit. I used my vise to press them in. An arbor press would work too. I used a large diameter punch to tap them out. Yes, I used the new rivets, you can see them in the photos.
