does anyone have a rebuildable 350 shortblock within driving distance of north Texas? I'm looking for one for around $150 - $200. Thanks

That's a little far, and a little too much, but thanks for the offer. I've never rebuilt an engine, and I'm looking for an inexpensive starting point to replace my 305.

Would that be a gen I block? If it is, 300 with shipping sounds reasonable. I just cant use an lt1 block. Any more info would be appreciated. Thanks

yes it is a first gen style block the only difference is the timing chain cover it is plastic, its NOT an LT1 block! we can do postal m/o or pay pal with a few extra bux to cover their fee,i will find out shipping if you leave me a zip code.

zip code is 76180. Let me know what total cost is, because that's a little more than I had set aside - may be a few days before I have all of it. Thanks

Thanks anyway, I think I'll try to search all the local yards. Even with a core charge I think I'll come out ahead.
