i need a running 2.8.............im looking for the lowest possible mileage ready to be droped in........this is going into an 86 blazer.......and im going to be using TBI.........so manifold doesnt matter........but i do need decent heads on the thing.........im also looking for an engine around that year range... ive heard something about when the 2.8's went to a serpentine setup, the water pump and everything spun the opposite way and i dont want cooling problems. i have a manifold and timing cover with a different water pump just incase.. but im trying to save time and money and get an engine thats ready to just be dropped in

I have a 3.1 That would work no problem and 100k on it it ran great last time I ran it. $400 for just the motor. I am in Johnstown PA.

 

3.1 wouldnt work.........no throttle body manifold for aluminum heads. and the cast iron heads i have are junk. it would just be too expensive to get that.

 

Saw one with trans on craigslist for Detroit I believe for $800.00
