I have an 88 305 TPI Engine Auto tranny trans am GTA engine swap in my Camaro, for some reason it doesnt have the C221 Connector, so i am looking for a Camaro harness or another GTA harness from 87 to see if that one will be the right one. ill need pics of the harness as well or if you can confirm this has the c221 connector near the computer connector. Is the connecter labeled c221? How will I know?

 

it is the 6 pin connector that is near the connector for the ecu. but i beleive there is only 3-4 pins in it.

I looked at mine and could not identify this c221. Mine is a bone stock un molested 88 TPI/auto harness. Have a pic of this particular connector?

 

the 3 connector ECM may be an earlier setup, I think my 86 Z28 had 3 connectors at the ecm. 88 definately does not.

Bump, it has to be an 87 i checked some other 88's and i am seeing that they dont have any. if someone can tell me if the 87 has 3 connectors that go inside near the ECU.

I have a very nice TPI/700R4 harness from an 87 f-body. I'll have to double check to be 100% sure it's 87 and determine if it was from a Camaro or Firebird. The harness is very clean and any broken connectors have already been replaced. I've been holding on to it because it is so complete and clean. Can you please email me at mike@eficonnection.com, when I get to work on Monday I can look into this further.

transamice is also looking for an 87 harness (another thread on this forum), so after I'm 100% sure it is from an 87 car, the first one to take it gets it.
