Anyways, I was originally planning on going with a crate engine, but I simply don't have the money since i'm going off to college in the fall. I would really like to get this car running/streetable before then though, so i'm trying to get an engine for it.

My requirments:

1) I don't need something crazy, but i'd rather not hear about someones TBI 305 they've got for $150. I'm looking for anywhere between a ~300hp to a ~350 hp motor. It's all going in front of a T5 with an Zoom clutch, hence me not wanting anything too crazy.

2) Needs to be a carb'd, non CC motor (if it's turn key, obviously with a longblock it wouldn't matter).

3) If it's anything other then a stock SBC, some specs would be nice, but not necessary.

4) MUST be a long block or a turn key motor, I don't have (good) heads nor do I wanna shell out the money for them. I'd prefer a long block since I already have all the parts needed to finish the engine after that, but if you don't wanna tear apart your turn key motor I understand and i'll take it from you that way.

5) Please, no small bore motors (305's, 307's, etc).

6) Money IS an object. I've got $1,500 to play with, but I can go higher if I really like what you've got. Don't just not post what you've got because of my price "limit" either. Post it and post what you want for it, we might just be able to work something out.
