Re: Power steering pump bracket

Please do and I will get back w/you as soon as you do. It is a 83 with V style belt. It is the bracket that bolts to the main PS pump lower bracket and goes to 2 locations. One one the head and another piece goes to the front drivers side exhaust bolt.
Thanks for reply and if you want you can just send a pic to my email. Legendshooter@aol.com

Thanks
Bo

You can purchase something like this new its 65 dollars

I found this local on craigslist he'll probally have what your looking for, and for cheap.

If you hold out long enough someone else on here will know what your talking about and may have a spare for sale.

Re: Power steering pump bracket

Hey... Did you get my PM. It had some nice diagrams and pictures... Here's the pics again (might help other's to identify the bracket in question). This first diagram is from the service manual for a 1984 Camaro:

Below is a pic of the one's I have as they sit on the car (they are lettered corresponding to the above diagram):

Re: Power steering pump bracket

Hey no none of those are correct. That looks like a totally different setup than mine is.

Re: Power steering pump bracket

Oh, wierd. I would have thought one of those would have been it. Oh well. Hey, I will check out my dad's El Camino tomorrow, to see if it has a different set up. I won't be able to sell you any brackets off it, but maybe I can get a pic that shows the one you are talking about. If I find anything I'll let you know.

Also, do you want me to delete the pics in my previous post? I don't know if they're going to result in confusion or clarity... Let me know...

Re: Power steering pump bracket

Look at the pic closely. It should be the one that mounts right behind the alternator to the first exhaust manifold bolt?

Re: Power steering pump bracket

Should be the shorter one in these pictures. The ones you see in the pictures have been blasted and a semi-gloss black powder coat on them.

Let me know.

Re: Power steering pump bracket

Measure the distance from the alternator to the header/exhaust manifold bolt. I assume this is your setup.
