looking for at least a 3.73 posi rear end to compliment the 6-speed swap i'm doing. the 3.08 rear i have just wont cut it. I'm already running 4th gen wheels and I have the correct adapters for them, so a 3rd or 4th gen rear will be just fine. does not matter if it is drum or disc, I already have the LS1 rear disc swap parts.... starting with a 4th gen rear would be the easiest, but will consider any as long as it is at least a 3.73 posi. a numerically higher ratio would be ok as well. preferebly around the Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa area so I could pick it up. why dont you just install a new posi and gears i have a good looking posi that i bought off ebay that i never got to use my car got totaled it is for the 7.5 1987 GM rearend 26 spline i also have a good set of 3.73 gears to go with it 260$ plus shipping

 

i would prefer a 4th gen rear since i plan on doing the ls1 rear brakes. i found a 98 firebird rear with a 4.10 and a zexel lsd locally, i'm going to look at that within the next couple weeks.
