I have a 1989 Iroc Z-28 with a BW 9-Bolt rear end with i believe a 2.72 or 2.73? gear ratio. I am looking to upgrade to a 3.73 cause I want to run a faster quater mile so i can shut this kids mouth up in my class. I Just have a couple of questions, how do I know if I have a 2-3 carrier and what other parts will i need if i swap over to the 3.73 gear, I know that I am going to need to clutch cones. So if any one has any new ring and pinion an other parts that are willing to help me out, Please let me know, thank you.

 

I am in Kalamazoo, MI and have a complete borg warner 9 bolt posi rearend with 3.27 gears. Im looking for $175.00 for the complete rear, maybe you can just use some of the parts but it is a good rearend. Thanks. bbisek@aol.com

 

Is your set up disc or drum brakes? also do you know how i can tell if i have a 2 or 3 series carrier?
