Re: Looking for a 700R4
I have a 4l60 which is a 1993 version of a TH700R4 before they went electronic of which had a few improvements, and i'm in Cobleskill NY (12043). Only thing you may need to do is figure out the torque converter lock up which shouldn't be difficult. Not sure of the engine you'll be using, but it's been rebuilt and you can look at it yourself if interested. Included is a link to pictures and information :

Update : Just looked into it, it's really simple to use this transmission on your car with the added benefits of the newer trans. All you really need to do is change the tail shaft off of your 700 with the one off this trans, and change the plug that goes into the trans for the torque converter lockup and you're all set, ready to go. Let me know, I can send you the information i found on it.

Re: Looking for a 700R4
A friend of mine has one that was rebuilt and has about 10k miles on it. Has a shift kit, it drove very nicely when it was in my friends 86 SC. Includes converter and cooler I believe he wants 600 for the whole deal.
